Traffic For Website Success
By JacquesWithout traffic the best sites would have been worthless. No traffic would equal no sales, no clicks and a complete waste of time. If you are one of
those that only get 10 visitors a day then I would suggest you tap into the following sources of free traffic for website success:
MyBlogLog is a social networking site that allows you to create a nice little community around your site and mingle with other bloggers. There is a crapload of really really good people who are more than willing to share links, be friends and exchange blog ideas. I get around 4000-5000 hitsĀ per month from this site for being active in the communities!
Blogcatalog is similar to Mybloglog in respects of creating a community, messaging other members and adding friends. A great function Blogcatalog has though is the ability to create new discussions. Tip: Look at other discussions with many replies. This will give you a good indication for what titles work when attracting attention and drive traffic for website exposure
3. Google.com
SEO is one of the greatest sources of traffic known to man. Do research and for a simple explanation of this all, you can download Marketing Successor which explains in detail how to drive traffic to your site. Click here to download now.
4. Stumbleupon, Digg, Propeller and other social bookmarking sites
Bookmarking sites have a tremendous amount of traffic waiting to be redirected to your blog or website. With the power of Web 2.0, people now have the choice of what sites they see and dont see. The main thing to remember when doing social bookmarking is to be part of the community. In other words, you have to be active! You can use Socialmarker.com to instantly submit your site to 30 major social bookmarking sites or you can simply purchase Bookmarking demon that submits it to ALL social bookmarking sites enabling you to do create major backlinks and get that traffic for website success
5. Traffic exchanges
This is where you browse through other sites to get visitors to yours. The reason why this is a failing concept for most is due to the product they advertise. Remember that when you work on traffic exchanges, you are just there to get credits like the rest of the people. This equals in low-quality traffic being sent to your site. If you are not into Internet marketing and you don’t haveĀ a product that is traffic exchange related…. don’t use them at all!
6. Commenting
Commenting on popular blogs can generate some traffic back to your blog. It’s all a matter of timing. Be the first to comment on a popular blog with some added value and honesty and you could expect a couple of new visitors. Commenting has two advantages of which traffic would be one and a backlink back to your site is another.
7. Email
In my previous posts I explained how important it is to have an opt-in list. That is a little block on your site that offers something of value in exchange for a name and a email address. This can be done through Aweber or even through RSS email.
Technorati is a blog directory where you submit your blog so that other people searching for something related to your blog can find you. Think of this as a mini Google blog search. The more people that link to you, the more authority you will have.
A blog carnival is a collection of posts to bring out the best of the web. Submit your article to blogcarnivals to gain extra traffic. Make sure that you submit your best articles to these carnivals.
10. Article Marketing
Article marketing can be a great source of traffic. Simply write an article related to you blog, optimize it for the right keywords and submit. You can submit it to directories such as Ezinearticles, Goarticles, Squidoo and Ideamarketers
This is a short summary of a couple of traffic sources that you can use to drive traffic to your website. I will explain in later posts each strategy to use when utilizing these resources. If you found this post to be informative, i would suggest subscribing to the RSS feed for frequent updates. Have a great day and thank you for reading Traffic for website success!
